NOBLE MASQUERADE GAINS FIRST WIN AT KEMPTON
Noble Masquerade fulfilled his promise on his eleventh attempt to score very cosily at Kempton Wed 23rd June, thanks to William Buick, who gave him a beautiful ride to quicken up and win going away by just under 2 lengths on the line. Noble Masquerade had been branded in some quarters as being a perpetual maiden, but he has now been placed in the first four in eight of his eleven races, which is more than a lot of other horses and now that he has got his head in front he can go on again. He wore blinkers for the first time and had no problem getting the mile and three furlongs and he will get further (he ran a very good race last year over a mile and six) so trips can be pretty flexible, but we will keep him at middle distances rather than go back. He is qualified for big race finals at the end of the year, both at Nottingham and back at Kempton Park.
